Job Description:
The City of Oak Grove is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in our utility office. The ideal candidate must project a friendly and professional attitude. In addition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbal), you will also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position with benefits. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The City of Oak Grove is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Assist management with day-to-day operations in the utility department.
Respond to customer service issues in a timely manner.
Process returned checks, balance cash drawers, and prepare bank deposits
Assist with new utility accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and close customer accounts
Maintain accurate records and document all customer service activities and discussions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:
The ability to be bonded through the City’s insurance company
1 years of experience in an office environment
Customer Service experience
Possess a valid driver’s license

Experience in utility billing and collections
Pay: $17.03 - $23.37 per hour

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35,424.17 - $48,627.30 per year
