Community

The City of Oak Grove, Kentucky, is located on the Kentucky, Tennessee border and adjacent to the Ft. Campbell Army Base.  It has a population of approximately 7400 with a median age of 24. It has easy access to Clarksville and Nashville, Tennessee with Interstate 24 and has 4 state highways—Hwy 911, Hwy 115, Hwy 400 and Stateline Road.  It is a small, quiet community with the lowest property taxes in the area.

There are many recreational opportunities in the area with the Valor Hall Event Center where the Spring Into Summer and Butterfly Festival are held.  There is also a walking trail, butterfly garden and disc golf there. The city is excited to see the opening of The Oak Grove Racing and Gaming Center by Keeneland/Churchill Downs in the fall of 2020.   The Center features historic racing and gaming machines, fall harness racing arena, a beautiful 5-story hotel, camping, amphitheatre and restaurants. Also, at Oak Grove Exit 89 is M.B. Roland Distillery, a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

There are lots of outdoor activities and parks in the city and at nearby Pennyrile Forest State Park, Land Between the Lakes, Barkley and Kentucky Lakes, and numerous other parks and outdoor activities in our larger bordering cities of Clarksville and Hopkinsville.  The city has an active Community Center with programs and activities from young to old.

The city is most proud to be the hometown of Ft. Campbell, being adjacent to the  Ft. Campbell Army Base, home of the 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.  We welcome the diversity of families from all over the United States and hope they will make Oak Grove their home.
