The following message has been sent to parents:
After carefully evaluating road conditions across the county, the district has determined we can safely open all campuses for students with a one hour delay to allow for improved visibility. Breakfast will be served.
AM and PM Preschool is canceled.
Due to extensive road flooding limited to the South Christian and Oak Grove areas, several bus routes will not run, primarily affecting students at South Christian Elementary, Hopkinsville Middle, and Hopkinsville High. Parents should use their discretion if choosing to transport their child to and from school. If your family has any questions or circumstances preventing your child from returning to school, please contact your child’s principal.
Canceled bus routes include:
- Bus #142 Rachel McDaniels
- Bus #182 Roberta Grimes
- Bus #183 Jill Dihl
- Bus #181 Ollie Hancock
- Bus #201 Tammy Brumley
- Bus #211 Tim Beal
- Bus #212 Amber Belinger
- Bus #216 Toni Majors
- Bus #196 Tracie Salters
- Bus #135/(sub bus #551) Ronnie Rougemont
There are also adjustments to routes in the Pembroke area and those families affected by rerouting will be contacted directly. Families who depend on bus transportation should expect routes to run one hour later than normal tomorrow in response to school operating on a one hour delay. Please note, extra delays may be possible on various routes tomorrow. Inspire Early Learning Center will be open and operate with normal hours.
We understand many families are still impacted by the recent floods and will need continued support in the weeks ahead. We appreciate your patience as we work to return to normal operations.
